What is Wrecking Balm?
Wrecking Balm – called a “Tattoo Fade – Removal System” by its manufacturer, is applied via a 3 step process that takes under 5 minutes a day, the results of which claim to gradually fade or altogether remove a tattoo from your skin. Wrecking Balm states that its ingredients are FDA-approved, and will safely remove the upper layers of the skin, breaking up the tattooed ink pigments, and thus, over repeated treatments, fade and/or remove the tattoo.
The product consists of a gel, cream, concealer, an “erosion head”, and a “DemoMatic.”
And how is it supposed to work?
According to Wrecking Balm, it works by using…
“….an FDA-approved mechanical hand-held medical device that gently, but effectively, removes the upper layers of the epidermis (outer skin layer). The second step uses a chemical serum that penetrates deep into the underlying lower layers, breaking up the cellular matrix in which the ink pigments are imbedded.”
And then:
“It takes 4 to 6 weeks for cells to naturally regenerate and complete one cycle. This skin cell renewal process is the key as the ink injected cells work their way to the surface for removal. WreckingBalm® safely works not only to break up the ink pigments, but to expedite the process of removal.”
The company claims its product is “devastatingly effective” and offers a free trial along with a money back guarantee, and free phone and email support for its users.

please forward me detail on where to purchase this cream
Wrecking balm did not work for me. I bought their 6-month supply and my tattoo looks exactly the same after treating it for 6 months as it did before. Too bad, was really hoping it would live up to its promise.
It didn’t fade the tattoo at all? Were you able to get a refund? Did Wrecking Balm do anything for you?
Where can i buy this?
I just saw Wrecking Balm at Walmart! I couldn’t believe it, its such a joke! Wrecking Balm will not remove your tattoo or even fade it – just temporarily lighten it up. At least at Walmart you can return anything that you buy even if its been opened. Best to stay away from wrecking balm to begin with but at least you’ll get your money back if you want to travel that road.
Tat B Gone is the real deal and it faded away my tattoo in 6 months. I’m dead serious, that stuff REALLY works.
@ Manitobo – Your tattoo was faded away in 6 months with Tat B Gone? That’s awesome. How big was it? Was it a mix of color inks or primarily 1 color or all black?
I had my tatoo on my foot removed last year and it was a bit painful. Does Wrecking Balm hurt?
i am wanting to get a couple of tats removed but dont want to do laser . Can anyone tell me about wrecking balm or tat b gone or even tca cream i’ve heard alot obout that dont want to spend that much money if its not gonna lighten or fade the tat away???????
If you want to buff up your tattoo and make it look like new again, then THIS is the product to buy. It removes dead surface cells to really enhance your tattoo. However … if you want to remove a tattoo then this is NOT the product to buy. After 20 years of being there I wanted to remove my ex-wifes name from my arm. I used wrecking balm daily now for over 5 months and it did absolutely NOTHING. The ONLY tattoo this product will remove is one that is temporarily drawn on the surface of the skin. The only injected tattoo it could remove is one that was done with food coloring instead of ink.
Various tattoo artists can easily fade a tattoo by “tattooing” (definitely not injecting) saline solution throughout the region the spot that the outdated ink is located. This really is more effective together with more aged tattoos, and isn’t a dependable means for tattoo removal. Nonetheless, occasionally this can be performed to fade a tattoo and also make less complicated to hide it with an all new tattoo. There is certainly some debate amongst tattoo artists about the success with this method, however it poses virtually no harm to the customer and is definitely well worth a shot for anyone planning to lighten a pre-existing tattoo. Locating an artist which will do this approach, nonetheless, might be problematic.
