This is a guest post from our friends at the Laser Tattoo Removal Guide providing a different perspective.

There are a variety of products out there that fall under the unofficial term of “tattoo removal creams”. These products are primarily sold online. They do not require a prescription or any visit with a doctor or medical professional. One of the biggest selling points is just that – you can buy them online and use them in the privacy of your own home, without seeing a doctor or going in for treatments. Additionally, there is no pain involved in the application of these creams to the skin. This is a big contrast towards nearly all tattoo removal methods, such as laser removal, dermabrasion, excision, and rejuvi, all of which cause considerable pain and discomfort for their administration.

There are many different brand of tattoo removal cream. This includes Wrecking Balm, the most popular and widely available tattoo removal cream, and others such as Tat B Gone, Tattoo Off and Tattoo Away.. While there are even more removal creams than these, by far the two most popular products are Tat B Gone and Wrecking Balm.

Both of these products claim that they will fade or remove a tattoo through the use of repeated applications of their cream to the skin. This means applying a “topical” lotion, gel, or cream – and by topical, this simply means at the surface of the skin. Both Wrecking Balm and Tat B Gone kits have a handful of products included, that are to be used together. For instance, a person might use one gel first to prepare the skin, then a second gel that’s supposed to act to remove then ink, and then a third gel to finalize the process and rejuvinate the skin.

It’s unclear to many how these products work. Many consider the manufacturers claims to be more marketing and hype than anything else.
However, there are many online reports from people claiming that through the use of a tattoo removal cream product, they did in fact see a significant fading of their tattoo. For this reason, it’s fair to say that the products work to an extent. However, having a tattoo entirely removed at the level offered from laser removal, for instance, is a controversial claim.

It’s worth considering that tattoo removal creams may in fact work in the sense of fading a tattoo slowly. In this sense, cheaply done tattoos and tattoos that are already faded and old may respond better than newer tattoos with high quality ink.

For someone considering tattoo removal, these products are very inexpensive and do offer a money back guarantee. Note though that it can take many, many months of applications before the desired results can be seen. The total cost of so many treatments or tattoo removal kits can eventually outweigh what was originally perceived as a cheap tattoo removal method.

Question:

Can you get tattoo removal cream at Walmart?

Answer:

Why, yes - you sure can.

It’s called Wrecking Balm.

To be more exact, it’s called Wrecking Balm Microdermabrasion Tattoo Fade System.

And it’s the most well known cream for fading tattoos. It’s the best and most popular over the counter treatment for tattoo removal and tattoo fading.

Why?

It doesn’t hurt and doesn’t leave scars. It doesn’t require a doctors note or any assistance from a doctor. It’s easy to use and you don’t have let anyone know you’re doing it.

And now Walmart sells it everywhere, in all their stores, for anyone to buy who wants to remove a tattoo.

Pretty cool, eh?

Since Walmart is so big, you might have a hard time finding it if you don’t know where to look.

(And don’t count on any of the clerks knowing where to find tattoo removing balm!)

Where is it in the actual store?

You’ll find it in the First Aid aisle of Walmart, the same area that sells medicines, bandaids, and other medical supplies.

Now, alongside the aspirin, you can pick up an over the counter tattoo removal cream.

In fact, here’s a picture of exactly what to look for:

Wrecking Balm: Now Available At Walmart

And so how much does Wrecking Balm cost at Walmart?

You can buy the box on the left for $50 at most Walmarts. But the truth is that won’t be enough for most people to fade their tattoo. You’ll probably need to buy a bigger box of Wrecking Balm treatments. You can get Wrecking Balm directly from the company by clicking here and you’ll also get 55% off if you do it right now.

Now, if you’re hesitant to put something like this on your skin without knowing what’s inside, we’ve got the info you’re looking for here on our site. Click here to read the Wrecking Balm ingredients or click here to go ahead and buy it.

Inspired by yesterday’s post on the Tat B Gone ingredients, today I will post something many other people have been searching for and asked us about who want to buy Wrecking Balm but first need a question answered:

“What’s inside Wrecking Balm?”

In other words, what are the Wrecking Balm ingredients?

Great question!

As you can see from the alphabetized list of ingredients below, there is no gasoline, horse tranquilizer, or other scary stuff. That’s probably what you were trying to find, eh? OK, that joke might not be funny if you’re worried about it!

Alright – enough jibber jabber.

Without further ado, here is the ingredients list:

Wrecking Balm ingredients:

Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Anthemis Nobilis Flower Extract, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea Butter), Ceteareth-20, Cetearyl Alcohol,Citrus Medica Limonum (Lemon) Peel Oil, Dihydroxyacetone, Dimethicone, DMDM Hydantoin, Epilobium Angustifolium Extract, Eugenica Caryophyllus (Clove) Flower Oil, Glycerin, Glyceryl Stearate SE, Glycine Soja (Soybean) Oil, Iron Oxides, Isopropyl Myristate, Juglans Regia (Walnut) Shell Powder, Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Oil, Melaleuca Alternifolia (Tea Tree) Leaf Oil, Methylparaben, Mineral Oil, Petrolatum, Phyllanthus Emblica Fruit (Indian Gooseberry) Extract, Polysorbate 20, Propylene Glycol, Propylparaben, Rosemarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Leaf Oil, Salicylic Acid, SD Alcohol 40-B, Silica, Talc, Theobroma Cacao, (Cocoa) Seed Butter, Titanium Dioxide, Tocopheryl Acetate, Water (Aqua)

So what here lightens your tattoo exactly? Good luck figuring that out…

…except that, oh wait! The folks at Wrecking Balm were cool enough to elaborate on them for us. Or at least give us something to ponder without revealing all their secrets. It seems there are two things they want you to notice about what’s inside Wrecking Balm tattoo removal cream.

The Wrecking Balm Tattoo Fade System

One – something called Indian Gooseberry Extract. Or, if your a nerd, you can refer to it as Phyllanthus Emblica Fruit. According to the company, this extract is a “rich anti-oxidant botanical known for skin-lightening qualities that combat hyperpigmentation”, and furthermore, they go on to say that it gives a huge amount of antioxidents to the skin that is convert toxins and degrade proteins responsible for excessive skin pigmentation.

Two – In regards to Chemical Cell Renewal Stimulus, the ingredient Salicylic acid is of importance. It works magic by making skin cells shed more rapidly, thus preventing pores getting clogged up, and allowing for new skin cell growth.

SO there you have it - the Wrecking Balm ingredients.

If you’re interested in buying it or learning more about tattoo removal for cheap, click here.

This guest post is from Julie. She is thinking about becoming our devoted and beloved full time blogger here at the Tattoo Removal Cream Guide. If you like her – and why wouldn’t you? – leave a note in the comments and tell her to stick around! We are quite fond of her ourselves, and think she’d make a great blogger here at The Guide.

One of the funniest things about a running a site like The Tattoo Removal Creams Guide is getting to be able to read the mail that comes in through our contact form. We get lots of mail from people asking questions about how to remove a tattoo and also hoping to get something for FREE tattoo removal.

I can’t blame them; wouldn’t that be the best of both worlds – a product like Wrecking Balm that removes tattoos and is also, somehow, magically…free?

And thus the focus of todays blog post, which comes straight from our mail bag:

Where can I find a Wrecking Balm sample?

Now, dear reader, if this question means where can you find a sample – or small – amount of Wrecking Balm to test our on your tattoo to fade it, the answer is easy. You can find it here.

Now, on the other hand, if you’re asking about a Wrecking Balm sample in the respectable and understandable hope that such a thing will be free, I unfortunately, and evidently, have volunteered for the job that requires me to deliver you bad news: there ain’t no such thing.

I mean, maybe sometimes Wrecking Balm hands out samples at Lollapoolaza or something, but, generally speaking, this isn’t like a TCBY’s where you can sample one of a hundred frozen yogurts and then buy one. Wrecking Balm doesn’t, to my knowledge, have a program for distributing samples.

Why not?

For one thing, it wouldn’t really make sense to get a free sample of Wrecking Balm.

OK – Stick with me here!

Why do I say such a thing?

Because if you got a sample of Wrecking Balm, it means you’d have enough for what – 3 applications? Well what is that going to do for you? It’s like getting a sample of hair dye. You wouldn’t just color one strand of hair right? And so it is with Wrecking Balm – it takes many applications to see the tattoo start to fade, so a sample just doesn’t make sense in the way a sample of food at a deli does, or whatever.

That being said, if you’d like to ask for sample, I’ll point the way. Go here and ask for a sample – see what they say. And if you get a free tattoo removal sample, then come back and leave us a comment on how you pulled it off, okay?

Trust me, inquiring minds will want to know!

Someone recently sent an email asking us about where to buy in home (at home) tattoo removal kits. The timing of this question is pretty funny since the development of the whole Wrecking Balm / Walmart deal, which only recently came to pass.

So where do you buy at home tattoo removing products? The internet of course is the best place if you want to buy a good product and compare prices. Another good place to buy tattoo removal cream is right here.

But if you’re reading this, chances are you’re the type of person who likes to hold a product in their hands, turn it over, read the packaging, you know – you like to get a feel for what you’re buying and not just read about it online. (Ironic eh? )

If you want to buy something like Wrecking Balm, Tattoo Off, or Tat B Gone in a store, the honest truth is that your options are very limited. I will break them down for you here in a simple two option format.

Option #1 : As mentioned, Wal-mart and Wrecking Balm recently inked out a deal. The big WB made a deal to get it’s Wrecking Balm Tattoo Fade Kit distributed at Wal-marts all over the country. You can stroll to your local Sam Walton center, find the first aid aisle, pick up some Balm, and be on your merry way. As far as I know, this is the only commercial store that sells general goods (i.e. it’s not a tattoo specific vendor) that also sells over the counter tattoo removal creams.

Option #2: The only other option for buying such an item in store and not online is to head to your local tattoo shop and ask them if they carry anything for removing or fading tattoos. From running this site, I can tell you that some tattoo shops DO in fact carry these items, as we’ve had tattoo parlor shop owners leave comments about how good Tat B Gone is and that they stock in their store for their customers. Now I have little idea what percentage of tattoo shop owners do in fact carry such items, but if you don’t want to buy Wrecking Balm from Wal-mart, or somehow live in an area that has no Walmarts stocking it, a visit to your local tattoo shop is your best best for finding a tattoo removing cream over the counter.

If neither of these options sounds appealing to you – and I understand if that’s the case, because isn’t it easier to get a better deal and simply buy online? If that’s what you’re thinking right now as you read, I will give you a little secret: click here to save 55% of Wrecking Balm. But shhh! Don’t tell any one okay.

This guest post is from our dear friend Julie, who has had her hand in some behind the scenes work here at The Guide, but is currently considering becoming our full time blogger. If you enjoyed this post, leave a comment and tell her she should stick around!

Tattoo removal creams products, such as Wrecking Balm, Tat B Gone, Dermasal, and others, belong to a class of products that are what the FDA refers to as GRAS. In the language of the FDA approval, the Food and Drug Administration that seeks to protect consumers and verify the safety of ingredients in products sold over the counter directly to the consumer, the term GRAS stands for Generally Recognized as Safe.

What this means then is that the ingredients used in Wrecking Balm, as well Tat B Gone ingredients, Tattoo Off ingredients, and so on, are not specifically tested and reviewed by the FDA per product. Instead, the FDA recognized that the ingredients in these tattoo removal creams or balms are, you guessed it – generally recognized as safe.

What sort of guarantee does this then lend to the safety of tattoo removing creams and their ingredients?

For starters, it means they when the products are used as intended, they should do no harm. They shouldn’t cause any pain or make the person ill. However, notice we say as intended. This means if you eat the product or do something entirely foolish, their could be bad side effects to it! (Of course, you knew that already, right?)

When it comes to tattoo removal creams it means that the ingredients have been shown through research and qualified scientist expert opinion that the usage of such ingredients as intended is generally recognized as safe and OK for the health of the person using the product. This isn’t to say that it’s not impossible that someone could have an allergic reaction or bad reaction to something inside Wrecking Balm, for instance. But it means that the company is affirming that experts would agree that it’s generally safe to use for most people.

What does this mean for over the counter products such as TCA cream? Because TCA tattoo removal products are sold and used over the counter often without specifying their usage as a tattoo removing agent or fading agent, the manufacturers have little incentive to make any claims involving FDA approval or to make the claim surrounding TCA to be Generally Recognized as Safe.

Because of this, if you’re seeking a tattoo removal product that sits well with the FDA and is considers generally safe, then an over the counter tattoo cream – one that is sold and marketed directly for removing or fading tattoos – is your best bet.

You may have heard a recent rumor that the biggest tattoo removal cream out there had recently made a deal to be sold at Walmart.

No, not Wrecking Ball, but you’re close; it’s called Wrecking Balm.

Okay, let me try one more time; technically it’s called Wrecking Balm Tattoo Fade System, but that’s just a mouthful, so we’ll stick to the first two words only, thank you.

So here we have the great big tattoo cream / tattoo balm company forming an alliance with the great big mammoth retailer Walmart. (And unless the deal is exclusive, hell, Target probably won’t be too far behind!)

The alliance makes sense right? I mean, you have to admit that it is kind of a cozy relationship right there: the biggest OTC (over the counter) tattoo removal cream forming an alliance with what amounts to the biggest retailer in the USA, if not the world.

So yes, folks, the rumors are true:

Wrecking Balm is now sold at Walmart!

But here’s the thing:

If you want to save 55% off Wrecking Balm right now, then click here.

Yes, we have a deal with them to offer their products at very competitive prices. Even better than Walmart – amazingly. If not, let us know in the comments below. I’d love to see if you can find a better deal on buying Wrecking Balm’s product!

So next time you’re getting your value priced goods and services at Wal-Mart, you can also get your cheap tattoo removed.

OK – not really. While I can easily see a sign for it one day in the corner of the store that reads “Walmart Tattoo Removal”, for now, you only buy your cheap creams there to fade your tattoos. Obviously it will not be done in the store, as Wrecking Balm is a product you buy and take home. This is why it’s often known as “at home tattoo removal”.

But either way, if this is something you’re interested in, heading to your local Walmart shop (there’s bound to be one within a couple miles, right?), OR if you want some more info right now, check out this Wrecking Balm review.

Or, better yet if you want your tattoo gone SOONER rather than LATER, and you want to save more 55% off the price you’d pay otherwise, click here.

Nuff said.

What is Wrecking Balm?
Wrecking Balm – called a “Tattoo Fade – Removal System” by its manufacturer, is applied via a 3 step process that takes under 5 minutes a day, the results of which claim to gradually fade or altogether remove a tattoo from your skin. Wrecking Balm states that its ingredients are FDA-approved, and will safely remove the upper layers of the skin, breaking up the tattooed ink pigments, and thus, over repeated treatments, fade and/or remove the tattoo.

The product consists of a gel, cream, concealer, an “erosion head”, and a “DemoMatic.”

And how is it supposed to work?
According to Wrecking Balm, it works by using…

“….an FDA-approved mechanical hand-held medical device that gently, but effectively, removes the upper layers of the epidermis (outer skin layer). The second step uses a chemical serum that penetrates deep into the underlying lower layers, breaking up the cellular matrix in which the ink pigments are imbedded.”

And then:

“It takes 4 to 6 weeks for cells to naturally regenerate and complete one cycle. This skin cell renewal process is the key as the ink injected cells work their way to the surface for removal. WreckingBalm® safely works not only to break up the ink pigments, but to expedite the process of removal.”

The company claims its product is “devastatingly effective” and offers a free trial along with a money back guarantee, and free phone and email support for its users.

Where can I buy Wrecking Balm??

You can check out their website and buy Wrecking Balm by clicking here.

Wrecking Balm snippets, according to the manufacturer:

Can remove a tattoo in as little as two months, especially if its an “amateur tattoo”
Usage can sometimes result in minor irritation or a burning sensation to the skin
Is effective on all skin types
Should not be used on any tattoos that are less than 6 months old
