Are you looking for the ingredients to Tat B Gone?

Then you, my friend, are in the right place! This information is (somehow) hard to come by… I suppose the company could rightly consider it a trade secret, but then again, it is printed on the actual labels when you buy the product right? So it can’t be too much of a secret! Either way, we’re spilling the beans cuz we’re just that crazy about tattoo removal…

There’s actually a few different pieces to what is collectively referred to as Tat B Gone, as you can see from the photo.

They are simply labeled as step 1, step 2, and step 3. That being said, let’s break down the Tat B Gone ingredients by each “Step” i.e. each different container, as shown in the photo here on the left.

Yesterday, we looked at a common question people have about Dermasal – namely, how much does Dermasal cost?

Today I want to get into the costs and prices of another OTC tattoo balm – nope, not Wrecking Balm, although we’ll get there shortly in another post – but a product called Tat B Gone.

In my opinion, this is likely the number two most popular tattoo remover cream on the market. One reason is the price: it’s very competitive. Many would say it’s flat out cheap. (This is certainly true if you compare it to methods that are NOT over the counter!)

That being said, how much does Tat B Gone cost?

The answer depends on how much of a supply you need – and how much of a supply you need depends on how big your tattoo is, if it’s older or otherwise faded any so far, and how solid it is insofar as the inks goes. But before we get into all that, which may very well be the subject for a post later this month, let’s just take a straight forward look at the prices for Tat B Gone cream.

Tat B Gone “Trial Kit”: $67.50

2 Month Supply of Tat B Gone: $129.99

4 Month Supply of Tat B Gone: $199.99

6 Month Supply of Tat B Gone: $299.99

10 Month Supply of Tat B Gone: $479.99

Note: These prices are accurate at the time of this writing. Like everything, they’re likely to go up in the future!

As you can see, the more you buy, the more money you save. However, it’s hard to say how much you’ll need right before you try it! With that in mind, most people find success trying either the 4 month or 6 month supply of Tat B Gone for either $200 or $300, respectively.

If you found a source for Tat B Gone with different prices – especially if you found cheaper or better prices than these! – please share this information by leaving a comment below. Thanks!

Tattoo removal creams products, such as Wrecking Balm, Tat B Gone, Dermasal, and others, belong to a class of products that are what the FDA refers to as GRAS. In the language of the FDA approval, the Food and Drug Administration that seeks to protect consumers and verify the safety of ingredients in products sold over the counter directly to the consumer, the term GRAS stands for Generally Recognized as Safe.

What this means then is that the ingredients used in Wrecking Balm, as well Tat B Gone ingredients, Tattoo Off ingredients, and so on, are not specifically tested and reviewed by the FDA per product. Instead, the FDA recognized that the ingredients in these tattoo removal creams or balms are, you guessed it – generally recognized as safe.

What sort of guarantee does this then lend to the safety of tattoo removing creams and their ingredients?

For starters, it means they when the products are used as intended, they should do no harm. They shouldn’t cause any pain or make the person ill. However, notice we say as intended. This means if you eat the product or do something entirely foolish, their could be bad side effects to it! (Of course, you knew that already, right?)

When it comes to tattoo removal creams it means that the ingredients have been shown through research and qualified scientist expert opinion that the usage of such ingredients as intended is generally recognized as safe and OK for the health of the person using the product. This isn’t to say that it’s not impossible that someone could have an allergic reaction or bad reaction to something inside Wrecking Balm, for instance. But it means that the company is affirming that experts would agree that it’s generally safe to use for most people.

What does this mean for over the counter products such as TCA cream? Because TCA tattoo removal products are sold and used over the counter often without specifying their usage as a tattoo removing agent or fading agent, the manufacturers have little incentive to make any claims involving FDA approval or to make the claim surrounding TCA to be Generally Recognized as Safe.

Because of this, if you’re seeking a tattoo removal product that sits well with the FDA and is considers generally safe, then an over the counter tattoo cream – one that is sold and marketed directly for removing or fading tattoos – is your best bet.
