If you’ve got an unwanted tattoo you’re trying to fade, remove, cover up, or otherwise get rid of, there’s always one question at the forefront of your mind: how much is this thing going to cost me?

It’s the answer to this question that leads so many people to over the counter creams and tattoo balms that fade away tattoo ink from a persons skin without costing an arm and a leg. What I mean is that these products are, by comparison, cheap!

For example, something such as laser tattoo removal; admittedly, a very effective and well researched technique for removing tattoo ink from a persons skin – something such as this laser removal technique generally costs a patient many thousands of dollars. (It also hurts a hell of a lot and requires commuting to a doctors office, sitting in a waiting room, ands o on. Not fun for anyone!)

At the other end of the spectrum, you have tattoo removal creams like Tat B Gone and Dermasal. These are the light weight options; you can buy them online, or heck, you can even buy Wrecking Balm at Walmart these days if you wanted to! But you can easily get your hands on them and apply it to your tattoo yourself in order to fade your tattoo.

And how much do they cost?

In this article, I want to address just one tattoo removal cream, a very popular one known as Dermasal.

So how much does Dermasal cost?

Here are the numbers, accurate at the time of writing.

A 1 month supply of Dermasal costs $82.95.

A 2 month supply of Dermasal costs $118.00.

A 4 month supply of Dermasal costs $192.00

And finally, a 6 month supply of Dermasal tattoo removal costs $292.00

As you can see, this makes Dermsal tattoo cream a very cheap method of removing tattoos.

If you have other questions on Dermasal beyond the price and how much it costs, I can read your mind. I bet you’d like to know either how it works or how well it works? To start with the latter question, check out the recent blog post titled: Does Dermasal Tattoo Removal Work?

We recently had a visitor here, named Mike, to the Tattoo Removal Creams Guide site write and ask us about Dermasal tattoo removal. He had a tattoo that he’d gotten on his forearm when he was younger that he wanted to cheaply remove. But is there such a thing as cheap tattoo removal he wanted to know? A few minutes into a google search, Mike found himself at the Dermasal website, reading about a product that claims to remove tattoos in as little as 3 months. Which then brought up the question on his mind – and everyone elses who also wants to remove a cheap tattoo – does this Dermasal tattoo cream really work?

While the company makes the bold claim that their product will work on any tattoo with any color or shape, the truth is a little different. While the process used here for Dermasal, much like that of it’s more popular counterpart, Wrecking Balm, works in the same way with all tattoo ink insofar as the behind the scnes process that makes it work, people buying tattoo removal creams are going to see the most success when they have a tattoo that meets the following criteria:

The smaller the tattoo, the easier it’ll be to work with Dermasal (or any other OTC tattoo balm.) The reason for this is simple – it’s simply less to work with!

The older the tattoo, the better. This is because it’s highly likely that the tattoo has seen some natural fading over time already, which means there’s less ink in the skin to dissolve or remove.

If the tattoo was done by an amateur, it’ll likely be easier to remove with Dermasal, too. This is because if an amateur did the tattoo, the depth of the ink is likely to be closer to the surface of the skin, thus making its removal all that much easier.

So what if your tattoo is big, new, and was done professionally? A product like Dermasal is still going to fade the ink but it’ll be a slow and expensive process. It’s worth considering upgrading to a more efficient method such as laser tattoo removal in these cases. However, that may very well cost a lot more money – as in, a couple thousand dollars more, over any of the relatively cheap tattoo removal cream products on the market. Because Dermasal carries a money back guarantee, you might want to consider trying out their product first to see what results you’ll get on your tattoo before moving on to more expensive removal options.
